Recognizing the high demand for recreational properties across Canada, and in particular in Calgary and Alberta, Sable launched its resorts division in 2005. Sable Resorts Inc. was created to distinguish resort property from residential, but maintained the Sable name to provide recognition to the community where it has built its reputation, and to reinforce its commitment to providing high end real estate with appreciating values.

Through its experience in Calgary, Sable recognized the importance of ensure a strong management team was in place to oversee the operations for their recreation developments. An onsite Vice-President of Operations and Site Superintendent were retained by Sable; with widespread and diverse experience to ensure proper supervision of the construction process. Both the Vice-President of Operations and Site Superintendent of each project lived on site to ensure the proper management of the project on a daily basis.

Management diligently worked on tendering the projects to Calgary companies and local firms alike to ensure the best fit for the type of construction that was being undertaken. The integrity and reputation of the firms selected was considered, and played a role in who was selected.

A large majority of the trades employed by Sable were either local trades or trades which Sable Developments employed over the years in Calgary, thus resulting in ongoing relationship building within the communities where Sable builds.

Working on Sable Ridge in British Columbia provided the company with the necessary experience to easily transition to construction and management of the Legacy on Mara Lake project, as the processes working in British Columbia are very similar from project to project.

Sable is equipped with the experience, background, relationships, tools and management, both internally and externally, to support the development of recreational properties.
